Il 10 di settembre scorso, il nostro Ministro generale Fra Mauro ha celebrato il suo cinquantesimo di vita religiosa. Nella sua omelia ha ringraziato il Signore per il dono della vita fraterna, ricordando le parole di Papa Francesco: "Cosa pensa la gente di me? Loro mi chiamano Santo Padre, ma io sono un peccatore che ha bisogno della misericordia divina."

Ha fatto anche un riferimento ai frati che hanno sacrificato i loro sogni per aiutare la fraternità cappuccina: "Ci sono tanti frati che mi hanno aiutato in questi 50 anni con i loro sacrifici, la loro presenza e anche con il loro silenzio. Questi frati hanno portato grazia e senso alla mia vita. Con l'aiuto della fraternità sono cresciuto e senza questi frati non sarebbe stato possibile percorrere la strada della mia vita, così come ho fatto".

Ringraziamo il Signore per fra Mauro, un frate innamorato della bellezza della vita fraterna, una persona che ci ispira sempre con il suo cuore, la sua sapienza, semplicità e generosità. Vi invitiamo a leggere le sue lettere recenti sulla nostra identità e appartenenza per capire la sua visione del nostro Ordine e, soprattutto, per aggiornare la nostra vita cappuccina.

The second ongoing formation course for Africa is being conducted at Fraternite Notre Dame De Lorette, Ouidah in Benin, from 10th to 21st August 2015. It was organised by Br. Norbert Solondrazana, the General Councilor for Africa, Br. Afonso, the President of CANCAO and Br. Luigi Coppari, the Custos of Benin. 19 brothers from different jurisdictions of CANCAO are the participants, they are the formators and animators of various fraternities.

Fr. Luigi Coppari the Custos was there to receive us and encourages us every now and then by being present with us. He, joining Br. Giulio Pierani, the Guardian & Br. Kilian NGITIR, the International Councilor for CONCAO has made good preparations to receive us and was accompanying the participants every now and then with his fraternal & caring presence.

Franciscan identity, a new re-reading of the Franciscan history, comtemplation, Christology, Capuchin charism, accompaniment, mass media, inner healing, well-being exercises, Brain Gym, cultural insights, inputs on human growth are the topic dealth with.

The focus was to understanding the relavance of our charism and prepare the animators to respond to the African context and to the humanity. Reflection, prayer, meditation, fraternal life and group sharing brought the fomators together. We shall share more about its inspirations in our next message.
