Easter Greeting 2016
- Published in Other news items
Dear Brothers, it's Easter!
And it's my joy to speak to you. Again this year we come to Easter in a world marked by much violence. The events in Brussels, the events last year in Paris, there are attacks, there are the dead, there is much violence in the whole world. The Cross is present, very present. It is so present that you almost think that there is no more light, that there's only desperation. Easter comes to tell us that when suffering is accepted with love, when one gives his life, a new light arises. As you know, the women received from the angels the announcement to bring to the disciples, to go to Galilee, for Jesus would go before them to Galilee. My hope is that there is a Galilee for each of us. A Galilee that is spring-like and flowering where the risen and living Jesus is met. In order to find the strength to continue on our journey of life with this serenity, with great peace of heart, let us not let all the violence beat us down, but let us continue to announce love. And with this I wish you, dear Brother, a good and holy Easter!
